Vincent Massey is a dynamic and vibrant high-school hosting over 1300 students in the Pembina Trails School Division, located in Fort Garry, Winnipeg. At Massey, we are dedicated to meeting the needs and developing the heart, mind and body of young people! At Massey, we believe that learning is best achieved when challenge, passion, and support exist in all of our programs. Our girls hockey program is one of many sport programs offered at Vincent Massey. Within the girls hockey program, we strive to give our girls the best possible hockey experience while participating in the Winnipeg Women’s High School Hockey League, out-of-town tournaments and off-ice team activities.
CTV Division 1: Congratulations VMC Trojans Anna Brownridge who began the Championship playoffs as a force to be reckoned with. On Monday, Anna assisted 2 goals in the Trojans thrilling 4-3 win against the Kelvin Clippers. On Tuesday, she turned up the heat, banging in 4 goals to secure a 6-0 game two series win. Anna worked hard every shift during the series and added the spark her fellow Trojans needed to push them toward the Quarter Final round.
WFP Division 2: Congratulations Westwood Warriors Heaven Moneyas for her exceptional goaltending during this week’s Quarter Final playoff series. The eighth ranked Warriors fought hard to defeat the first ranked Beliveau Barracudas, and none harder than their goaltender. Heaven stopped an incredible 52 of 54 shots during their game one 2-0 loss, and then stopped another 43 shots in regulation time keeping the game scoreless before letting in the overtime winner. A truly remarkable performance!
CTV Division 1: Congratulations VMC Trojans Allison Canvin, a stand out defensive player, whose controlled play this week led her team to a stunning 6-2 performance over the CSHC Huskies on Wednesday, and to a nail biting 2-1 victory over the River East Kodiaks on Friday, where she also potted an assist.
WFP Division 2: Congratulations Westwood Warriors Heaven Moneyas, who had a spectacular week of goaltending. On Monday, Heaven stopped 35 of 36 shots in her team’s 2-1 victory over CSLR Renards, and two days later, she stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 2-2 tie against the JH Bruns Broncos.
Congratulations to the Vincent Massey Trojans who won the WWHSHL Championship title tonight. The Vincent Massey Trojans won game three against the Shaftesbury Titans (3-0), to win the CTV Division 1 final playoff series and the Championship Title. Goals were scored at: Period 2, 12:50 by 8-Jaeden Borgford, 20-Taylor McDonald, 6-Emma Pales; Period 3, 15:14 by 17-Ashley Hantscher, 4-Tayrn Gaulke, 13-Stephanie Molloy; and Period 3, 9:04 PP by 9-Kennedy Tachinski, 2-Breanna McLennan, 18-Genevieve Houghton.
The Shaftesbury Titans also had a strong season finish as the regular season first place team and the Division 1 Championship Finalist.

CTV and Winnipeg Free Press Division Finals are underway with what could be deciding games in both divisions tonight. In the CTV Division, the second ranked Vincent Massey Trojans lead the series against the first ranked Shaftesbury Titans 1-0, after winning game one 2-1 in overtime. In the Winnipeg Free Press Division, the sixth ranked Garden City Gophers lead the series against the fourth ranked JH Bruns Broncos 1-0, after winning game one 2-1.

In game one of the CTV Division Championship Finals tonight, the Vincent Massey Trojans beat the Shaftesbury Titans 2:1 (OT) and lead best of 3 series 1-0. Shaftesbury Titans goal (1st period, 7:07): Taylor Woodward, assisted by Emily Fraser. Vincent Massey Trojans goals (3rd period, 3:33 and 4th period 4:31) – Emma Pales, assisted by Taylor McDonald and Kyla Ryplanski.

CTV Division: Congratulations to Vincent Massey Trojans’ Taylor McDermott, an outstanding goalie with a hot hand during this playoff week. In game 2 of the series against the St. Mary’s Flames, Taylor stopped all 19 shots headed her way in a 3-0 win. In the 3rd and deciding game, Taylor was once again up to the challenge as she stopped 19 of 20 shots, leading her team to 3-1 win, taking the series and advancing to the Championship finals.
WFP Division: Congratulations to Garden City Gophers’ Emily Daniels, a relentless forward who helped her team defeat the # 1 seeded team, the PCI Saints, in 2 straight games. In game 1, Emily scored 2 goals as the Gophers surprised the Saints with a 4-3 win. In game 2, the Gophers prevailed 3-2 in overtime with Emily scoring 1 goal and an assist.
The results are in! In the CTV Division A semi-final series, the #2 ranked Vincent Massey Trojans beat the #3 ranked St. Mary’s Flames in game 3 to take the series 2-1. A full out effort by the #5 ranked CJS Olympiens was not enough to hold of the #1 ranked Shaftesbury Titans, who won game 2 with a score of 2-1 and the series 2-0. The top ranked Shaftesbury Titans and Vincent Massey Trojans will complete for what is sure to be an exciting race for the CTV Division A and WWHSHL Championship title in the final best of 3 series starting March 9.

WFP Division: Congratulations to PCI Saints’ Bailey Grantham, a League veteran and perennial all-star, who had an exceptional week; scoring 5 goals and 2 assists in the Saints victory over the Kildonan East Reivers, and 2 assists in the hard fought 3-2 victory over the Miles Mac Buckeyes. Total points to date for the season: 26
CTV Division: Congratulations to Vincent Massey Trojans’ Genevieve Houghton who scored 2 goals in their hard fought 3-1 victory over the tough Dakota Lancers. Genevieve was both an offensive and defensive threat as she carried the play in their victory.
WFP Division: Congratulations to Garden City Gophers’ Madison Jopling who scored 3 goals and added 5 assists in their victory over Kildonan East, and three days later, chipped in with 2 goals in an 8-5 victory over the Kelvin Clippers.
