CTV Division 1: Congratulations Oak Park Raiders Ashley Seitz who has had a terrific season. This week against the scrappy FRC Centurions, Ashley flew down the ice time and again, coming to her team’s rescue, fending off attackers and scoring a hat trick for a 3-2 victory. Ashley is the Raiders leading scorer with 21 points at the close of regular season.
WFP Division 2: Congratulations CSLR Renards Sophie Maitre who put everything she had into 2 games played this week. Sophie had a goal and 3 assists in the Renards’ 7-0 victory over the JH Bruns Broncos on Monday, and in their last league game Wednesday, she scored another goal in their 5-1 win over the Beliveau Barracudas. Sophie is one of the Renards’ top scorers with 17 points this season.
CTV Division: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ Dana Poulton for her play making skills this past week. Dana contributed a goal and an assist in her team’s loss to the St. Mary’s Flames; another assist in their loss against the Shaftesbury Titans; and then scored a huge goal to secure a tie in the nail biting week’s closing game against the Vincent Massey Trojans. Dana has 6 points for the season.
WFP Division: Congratulations to Kelvin Clippers’ Coco Diamond-Burchuk who has been on fire the past month. Coco turned up the jets against the Garden City Gophers scoring a goal in regulation time and then another in a thrilling 3-2 shoot out win. Coco is the leading team scorer with 15 points this season.
CTV Division: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ Courtney Kruse who was on absolute fire this week. Monday Courtney scored 2 goals in the 3rd period to tie the game later won by the Westwood Warriors in OT; Thursday she added another goal and assist, helping her team defeat the CLC Scorpions; and Friday, she scored another 4 goals and an assist defeating the Garden City Gophers.
WFP Division: Congratulations to Miles Mac Buckeyes’ Rebecca Thevenot who scored 2 goals and an assist in her team’s 7-0 win over the SJR Eagles, followed by 2 assists in her team’s 4-0 win over the Beliveau Barracudas.
CTV Division: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ Jodie Sobiak who displayed her fire power by scoring 3 goals, helping her team beat the River East Kodiaks by a score of 9-3. Jodie was all over the ice working hard to help her teammates create more scoring opportunities.
Winnipeg Free Press Division: Congratulations to Shaftesbury Titans’ outstanding player Rachel Cumpsty, who in true dramatic fashion, scored on a break away to help her team beat the Sanford Sabres 2-1 in over time. Rachel’s relentless fore checking and back checking created turnovers that led to many great scoring opportunities.
CTV Division A: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ fiery Cara DiMarco for her relentless fore-checking, consistency and willingness to battle for the puck during their series against the VMC Trojans this week. Cara had an assist in game one, and then 2 days later scored a hat-trick in the third and final game helping her team defeat the Trojans 4-1 and advancing to the next playoff round.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to Selkirk Royals’ power forward Rochelle Ryder for scoring a goal in game one of their series against the Sanford Sabres. Two days later, Rochelle really caught fire, dominating the offense potting 4 goals and adding assist to defeat the Sabres by a score of 7-3, and helping her team to advance to the next playoff round.
CTV Division A: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ fleet footed forward # 11 Jessica Thomas who helped her team secure a 4-1 victory over the Kelvin Clippers, and then 3 days later scored a crucial goal midway through the third period to break a 2-2 tie against the Louis Riel Voyageurs eventually winning 5-3.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to Lorette Scorpions’ goalie Hannah Dornian who played absolutely phenomenal in her team’s victory over the top ranked Westwood Warriors. She made key saves at key times to help lead her team to a 1-0 victory.
CTV Division A: Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ Sydney DeBrouwere whose smooth effortless skating controlled the game from her defensive position in their hard fought 4 to 1 win over the CSHC Huskies. Sydney scored the opening goalto set the tone for the rest of the game.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to CLC Scorpions’ Reilli Howden who worked hard to score 1 goal in their narrow 3-2 win over the Sanford Sabres, and who 3 days later scored another goal in their 5-4 shoot out victory over the powerful Lord Selkirk Royals.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Oak Park Raiders’ #9 Sydney DeBrouwere, who was a one woman defensive wall in her team’s game against the Sanford Sabres this week. Sydney prevented the Sabres from entering her defensive zone while on shift, and managed an assist as well.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to CJS Olympiens’ #5 Emma Onchulenko, a dominant force in her team’s game against the St. Norbert Celtics. In what turned out to be the crucial play of the game, Emma threaded a pass through the neutral zone which secured a 2:2 tie!
CTV Division A Congratulations to Oak Park Raider’s captain Jessie Hilton who came out flying in helping her team to an 11-1 victory over the Sanford Sabres this week. Jessie was a dominant force on defense as she back checked, fore checked, set up passes and scored 5 goals and assisted on 2 others.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to the Kelvin Clippers’ Jane Roxburgh who had a terrific week of play, helping her team defeat the SJR Eagles 5-3 by scoring 4 points, and then dominating in her team’s 3-3 tie with the West Kildonan Wolverines racking up 2 more assists.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Oak Park’s Erin Kucheravy who displayed excellent offensive skills and solid defense as well as scoring 2 short handed goals and 1 assist in a 4-3 victory over the Lord Selkirk Royals in the CTV Division.
