Kelvin High School is a public high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The school is located in the neighbourhood of River Heights. Kelvin teaches grades 9 to 12 and is part of the South District of the Winnipeg School Division.
The Kelvin Clippers competed in the Chi-Town Girls Classic in Chicago this weekend and came away with the bronze medal beating Team Illinois in a shootout 2-1. The Clippers also lost a close contest to Team Detroit (2- 1), who eventually came away with the championship. During the tournament, the Clippers competed against some strong AAA teams from all over the northern states. “It was an incredible experience for our hockey players,” said Sam Tougas, Head Coach. “The WWHSHL has some of the best talent in MB, and our result proves that we can compete with the top programs across North America.”

CTV Division A: Congratulations to Kelvin Clippers’ Carlyn Allary for her outstanding playin a thrilling 3-2 win over the River East Kodiaks. Carlyn scored the gamewinner with less them 8 minutes left in the game. She also scored anothergoal and added an assist.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to West Kildonan Wolverines’ Brittney Driedger for her heroics in a hotly contested game against the PCI Saints. Brittney scored 2 goals potting the game winner with just over 2 minutes left in the 5-4 victory.
CTV Division A Congratulations to the Kelvin Clippers’ # 11 Michelle Perron, who made some solid defensive plays, scored an assist and notched the game winning goal her team’s solid 3-0 win over the PCI Saints.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to the Miles Mac Buckeyes’ # 35 Robin Thiessen, who made several difficult stops and worked hard to earn a much deserved shut out this week in her teams’ 6-0 win over the St. Norbert Celtics.
CTV Division A Congratulations to the Kelvin Clipper’s #14 Emily Middagh, who in an outstanding performance this week, first helped her team beat the SJR Eagles by scoring 2 goals in a 4-1 victory, and then two days later, scoring another 2 goals to solidify the Clippers 3-2 defeat of the Louis Riel Voyageurs.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to the River East Kodiak’s #4, Elise Edginton, who was nothing short of phenomenal in her teams 7-1 victory over the Westwood Warriors this week, scoring 1 goal in the first period, 1 goal in the 2nd, and erupting to score 4 goals in the 3rd.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Oak Park Raider’s captain Jessie Hilton who came out flying in helping her team to an 11-1 victory over the Sanford Sabres this week. Jessie was a dominant force on defense as she back checked, fore checked, set up passes and scored 5 goals and assisted on 2 others.
