Fort Richmond Collegiate is a Grade 10 to Grade 12 high school located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Fort Richmond Collegiate is committed to the pursuit of excellence and to providing a safe, enriched educational community which encourages social responsibility and lifelong learning. The girls’ hockey program strives to give our girls the best possible hockey experience while participating in the Winnipeg Women’s High School Hockey League, out-of-town tournaments and off-ice team activities.
CTV Division A Congratulations to FRC Centurions’ Alyssa Cochrane whose outstanding play helped her team rally to a tie and a victory this week. Alyssa scored a goal and set up 2 more in the 4-4 tie against the VMC Trojans, and then helped her team achieve an upset 4-3 win over the Kelvin Clippers with a goal and an assist.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to St. Norbert Celtics’ Sydney Parker who had a phenomenal week. Sydney scored 3 goals and 2 assists in her team’s 7-0 victory over the CLC Scorpions, and her stellar play continued the following day with another goal and 2 more assists to help team defeat the Westwood Warriors 3-1.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Fort Richmond Centurions’ Jessica Kaminsky for her outstanding play in their hard fought 5- 2 win over the Dakota Lancers. Jessica showed her skills and determination scoring 2 goals for a tie at the end of the second period, and then dominating the 3rd period with 2 goals and an assist to solidify the win.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to St. Norbert Celtic’s Sydney Parker who through perseverance, deftly moved across the ice, earning a hat trick in their 4-4 tie with the River East Kodiaks. Sydney was brilliant, scoring her first goal in the second period, closely followed by a power play goal, and a short-handed goal in the 3rd period.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Fort Richmond Centurion’s goaltender Tiana Charban who was sensational in goal against the Vincent Massey Trojans helping her team to a thrilling 4 to 3 win. Tiana stopped 38 of 41 stops with 21 of those stops coming in the 3rd period.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to Michelle Kerdes, the Beliveau Barracudas’ goaltender, who backstopped her team to a 1-1 tie against the Miles Mac Buckeyes. Michelle stopped 21 shots in the 2nd and 3rd period with many of those shots being goal net scrambles.
CTV Division: Congratulations to Oak Park Raider’s Robyn Fraser who helped her team beat the previously unbeaten St Mary’s Flames 3 to 2 in a very hard fought game. Robyn’s tenacity contributed 2 goals for the win..
Winnipeg Free Press Division: Congratulations to Fort Richmond Collegiate’s Jessica Kaminsky who scored all 6 goals in a hotly contested battle against the Kelvin Clippers. With seconds to go, Jessica scored an empty netter to secure a 6-4 victory.
CTV Division: Courtney Zajac #16, Vincent Massey Trojans, was instrumental in helping her team beat the PCI Saints by a score of 5-0. She worked hard continuously throughout the game and never stopped skating until the final whistle.
Winnipeg Free Press Division: FRC was losing 4-2 mid way through the second period until Jessica Kaminsky #8 took over, scoring 4 goals and assisting on 3 others to lead Fort Richmond Collegiate to a 11-4 win over the John Taylor Pipers.
