Collège Béliveau is a Grade 7 to Grade 12 French Immersion school with 42 teachers serving 624 students.The school has an extensive and competitive athletic program ranging from track and field to ice hockey for all grade levels.
CTV Division A: Congratulations to CJS Olympiens’ Ryann Bannerman who played a huge role in her team’s series victory over the River East Kodiaks. Ryann’s standout performance in game one saw her stop 18 of 20 shots for a narrow 3-2 victory over the Kodiaks, followed by a shut out in game two, where she stopped all 32 shots that came her way.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to Beliveau Barracudas’ Shayna Laramee whose star performance helped secure her team’s 2-1 series victory over the Shaftesbury Titans. The star forward scored one goal in game one, a 2-1 loss; another goal in game two, a 2-1 victory; followed by two additional goals and an assist in game three, a 4-2 victory over the Titans.
CTV Division A: Congratulations to VMC Trojans’ Ally Kropp, who despite the teams 1-2 lossto the Dakota Lancers, stopped 29 of 30 shots and one shoot-out attempt tokeep VMC in the game all the way to the end.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B: Congratulations to Beliveau Barracudas’ Vanessa Ronald, who stopped 17 of 18 shots to lead her team to a 3 -1 victory over the Shaftesbury Titans.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Dakota Lancers’ Mackenzie Kowalczuk who scored 2 goals in helping her team beat the Sanford Sabres 8-0 on Thursday and adding an assist and some sparkling defense in a 4-1 victory over the West Kildonan Wolverines the next day.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to the Beliveau Barracudas’ goalie Kailey Penner who lead her team to a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Westwood Warriors as she stopped 23 shots with 3 outstanding saves in the last 30 seconds of the game.
CTV Division A Congratulations to the Lord Selkirk Royals’ # 6 Rochelle Ryden, who’s work ethic and outstanding performance really stood out even though her team trailed and eventually lost 7-2 to the Fort Richmond Centurions.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to the Beliveau Barracudas’ # 30 Michelle Kerdes, who took twice as many shots on net and stopped them all to secure a 0-0 tie against the SJR Eagles.
CTV Division A Congratulations to Fort Richmond Centurion’s goaltender Tiana Charban who was sensational in goal against the Vincent Massey Trojans helping her team to a thrilling 4 to 3 win. Tiana stopped 38 of 41 stops with 21 of those stops coming in the 3rd period.
Winnipeg Free Press Division B Congratulations to Michelle Kerdes, the Beliveau Barracudas’ goaltender, who backstopped her team to a 1-1 tie against the Miles Mac Buckeyes. Michelle stopped 21 shots in the 2nd and 3rd period with many of those shots being goal net scrambles.
CTV Division: CTV Division A Player of the Week is the St Mary’s Flames forward, #9, Steffi Grossi, who helped lead her team to a 10-2 victory over the Dakota Lancers. This rookie’s consistent effort realized 1 goal and 3 assists.
Winnipeg Free Press Division: And from one of our two new teams to the League, College Beliveau’s #9 , Devyn Griffin. This rookie player scored 1 goal and 2 assists, and showed great on ice sportsmanship, in the 9-1 victory over the River East Kodiaks.
