On November 15, 2017, the WWHSHL’s Kelvin Clippers hosted a fundraising hockey game against the VMC Trojans at the River Heights arena. A packed crowd of students, family and fans helped to raise more than $600 in support of Kelvin’s Holiday Breakfast and Celebration. The proceeds will be directed to underprivileged children at Norquay School.
Head coach Bruce Sirrell says his team is proud to be a part of this special event and “when the spirit of the season meets the spirit of caring, great things happen as we discover that, together, we can make a difference.”
The Kelvin Holiday Breakfast and Celebration will be held on Dec. 8, 2017. It’s an annual tradition where hundreds of students and staff generously give their time supervising, running stations, cooking, cleaning, and managing the hundreds of young people involved in this event. Countless Kelvinites demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism, working together to fundraise and purchase a new toy for each child, contact local businesses for support, make decorations, bake hundreds of cookies, and sew stockings for their young guests. Kelvin is supporting Norquay School this year.
